Ways to Celebrate Big Joy

We sent this out to honor James Broughton's Birthday.  But of course these are ways to celebrate every day!

Dear Gorgeous,

Warm yourself up!  It's James Broughton's birthday!
How to celebrate James Broughton's birthday (today)!

November 10, 2011 - he would be 98 if he hadn't died in '99

JB jump

1.  Precipitate -  Allow any detritus you're ready to let go of to drop down and leave.

2.  Meditate -  Quiet your monkey mind and allow some silence to recognize your blessings.

3.  Satiate - Be grateful for what's good about your life

            As Broughton said,

                        If you must feel tortured

                        Respect your misery

                        And be happy about it

                        Only the nonsensical is

                        At ease with the Absolute

4.  Lubricate - Find yourself a wonderful drink - apple cider, water, whatever (James preferred Champagne)

5.  Celebrate  -  Give yourself 3.25 minutes to watch Jack* and Adelle Foley read Broughton's poem "This Wonder," a poem for two voices.  See it on YouTube here

 * San Francisco poet Jack Foley is one of the luminaries who brings Broughton's story to life in the film Big Joy

6.  Donate -  And feel part of the process by contributing to the Big Joy Project, the birthday present James most wants - to finish this film long before his 99th birthday!
